The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of personalities, and a thrilling plot showcasing divine entities, fiends, and dark forces growing in influence within the city.

Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of characters who will branch out from the main group to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.

At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might look mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 show why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the secret base, striking the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.

Casimir then paid off his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, above the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each member has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, desires retribution.
  • Kattigan knows Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their position as important members in the powerful family could enable the group reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to head to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.

What’s Next?

From the recent installment’s Cooldown, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight cast members to assemble the Questers and Planners parties.

Fans can look forward to learning which players will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
